Volunteers attend course-completion ceremony and congratulate students
On June 29, a ceremony was held to celebrate three groups of students who had finished courses supported by the Nissan Institute in Rio de Janeiro as part of the Youth and Opportunity project. Two of them had completed a Computer Operator course, and the other group had done a course on Low-Voltage Electrical Work.
The course-completion ceremony was attended by representatives of the Nissan Institute, NGO Fundação Gol de Letra and training organization Senai. The students were praised and encouraged to do further training to develop their chosen careers. After the certificates were handed out, a special video featuring the students was shown, and a cocktail reception was then held.
This project is the result of a partnership between the Nissan Institute, Fundação Gol de Letra, the Rio de Janeiro State Federation of Industry (Firjan) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Enterprise Support Service (Sebrae). The partnership has involved a renovation project called “Caju, a new perspective” and the creation of training courses for students in the Rio de Janeiro neighborhood of Caju.
