Senai students receive tips and encouragement from volunteers
On Friday, October 27, members of the Volunteers of Value group in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, received 35 students who are doing an industrial training course at the Curitiba branch of training organization Senai. This course is designed to introduce 14 to 24 year olds in local communities to the job market.
During the day, talks were given on “The benefits of education” (by Silvia Delvan), “Why you should plan your career” (by Wilson Parisotto), and “Careers in engineering” (by Alexandre Ferreira). The latter topic was chosen because Nissan’s office in São José dos Pinhais employs more engineers than any other kind of professional.
In addition to this content, the students also took part in a discussion, led by Leandro Barbosa, and they were able to see some cars sold by Nissan do Brasil.
“I believe it was a very enjoyable day for everyone who took part. Thanks to all the knowledge, content and tips passed on, the students were certainly able to learn a little more about the company’s routines. You could see the interest in everyone’s eyes”. (Jackson Santos, the initiative’s lead volunteer)
