National Traffic Week is from September 18-25 in Brazil, but in Resende, events began on the 5th, as Nissan Institute Volunteers presented the Nissan Leaf, an electric car, to students at the Traffic Guard Apprentice Project at the Municipal Guard Battalion (see more here).
The initiative is part of Municipal Traffic Week, organized by the Resende City Hall, with the support of the Nissan Institute. December 5-25, the National Traffic Council (Contran) sponsored a public awareness campaign titled “My Choices Make a Difference in Traffic.”
Lectures on Signs, Urban Mobility, and Orientation and Traffic Safety were given in two municipal schools, students from the Traffic Guard Apprentice Project handed out information to the public and people had the opportunity to try out a traffic simulator.
