September 13, 2017
A symbolic plaque was presented during the Foundation’s annual event.
In order to present their work and encourage new partnerships and relationships, two editions of the Annual Meeting with Social Investors were held in the last few months, one in Rio de Janeiro and the other in São Paulo. In Rio de Janeiro the event was held on the 11th of last month and honored Nissan with a Supporter plaque in recognition of its partnership in the educational and professional training project “Youth and Opportunity.”
“This is one way of showing our gratitude to Nissan for being a part of the ‘Gol de Letra Team’”. (Beatriz Pantaleão, Executive Director of the Gol de Letra Foundation)
Besides Nissan, event attendees included other companies, entrepreneurs, and Ilona Szabó de Carvalho, executive director of the Igarapé Institute, a specialist in reducing violence and drug use. She presented a speech entitled “Public Safety Priorities in Rio de Janeiro and in Brazil.”
Nissan, via the Nissan Institute, and the Gol de Letra Foundation have been partners since 2015, when they began renovations on the Gol de Letra facilities in the Caju neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, in order to make room for the Youth and Opportunity Project.
