Participants develop their projects in more depth through ideathon
On September 14, the Nissan Institute held a series of “ideation marathons” or “ideathons” as part of its Inova-san innovation program, spending the whole day focused on generating and refining ideas. This was an optional activity with limited places for people enrolled with the program to enhance their projects through face-to-face collaboration.
The event featured Nissan partners, volunteers and employees, as well as groups of students keen to transform the southern part of Rio de Janeiro State. Over the course of the day, the participants discussed their projects and received guidance from professionals with experience in different fields.
The ideathons took place simultaneously at three universities across the region: AEDB in Resende, UniFAA in Valença, and UniFOA in Volta Redonda. In all, 138 students enrolled with the Inova-san Program took part, as well as 40 professionals, including mentors, technicians and evaluators. At the end of a day full of reflection and learning, 33 projects were presented to a panel that assessed them in detail, helping students to become even better prepared for the next phases of the program.
What participants had to say
“The ideathon was incredible, from start to finish. Thank you everyone for believing in such a young group of people, and thanks to the mentors, who managed to add a huge amount of value to everyone’s project and life in such a short time.” (Nayara Sá, Inova-san participant).
“Thank you for the opportunity to help plan something to benefit my city. It was a day of great learning and knowledge.” ( Emerson Figueiredo, Inova-san participant).
