All true and passionate stories are inspiring, and our story involves many hearts. From Japan to Brazil, our dream crossed frontiers to become reality and help change the lives of many Brazilians.
Conceived by the Brazilian Carlos Ghosn, the Nissan Institute was founded in March 2013. As a result, Nissan do Brasil became the group’s first subsidiary to have a social institute created especially to manage its social responsibility projects.
Since then, we have already achieved many things. In less than one year of operation, our activities have directly benefited around 17,000 people in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, which is home to our head office, São Paulo, Resende and São José dos Pinhais.
It is gratifying to see that our work is recognized by auto industry representatives and partners. In 2014, we were one of five finalists in the Sustainability and Social and Environmental Responsibility category in the Recognition for Excellence and Innovation (REI) Awards, organized by a leading specialist media outlet in the Brazilian auto sector.
Our journey involves continuing to develop and enhance, sharing and learning from the experience of everyone involved. We have a very clear objective: to transform lives. And the path for us to continue to achieve this objective needs to be constructed together!
