Nissan Institute donates more than 8,000 Paralympic tickets
September 20, 2016
Charities in Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings benefited
In addition to representatives of 55 NGOs who stayed at Hotel Nissan Kicks during the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the Nissan Institute also offered opportunities to other charities that took part in the mega event.
More than 8,000 tickets to a variety of competitions were donated to NGOs in Rio de Janeiro, nearby municipalities and partner projects. In all, 17 NGOs enjoyed the Paralympic experience and felt the emotions of excellence and determination close-up.
One of the institutions that benefited was Atados, a social platform that carries out volunteering projects and connects people with organizations.
A little of this story is shown in the video below. Check out the children’s happiness at the competition venues, especially in Barra Olympic Park, where they watched a goalball match in the Future Arena.
By enabling children and youth to have this experience of the Paralympic Games, Nissan believes that future generations will be inspired to create a better, more inclusive world.
