Donations from Nissan employees filled stands at event
On July 7, members of the Volunteers of Value group held a get-together at Nissan’s office in the city of Rio de Janeiro to collect gifts for a winter party at non-governmental organization Miratus. Thanks to employees’ hard work and commitment, 600 gifts were collected! The following week, it was time to hand over these items to Miratus and enjoy the party.
The event took place on July 15 at Miratus’ office in the Rio neighborhood of Jacarepaguá. It was organized by the institution’s own educators and young participants, who manned various stands, where people could play fishing and throwing games, jump on a trampoline and take selfies.
The food was provided by students from the NGO’s cookery workshop, who prepared a wide range of typical winter treats for the nearly 200 guests present, served with the help of Volunteers of Value from the Nissan Institute.
The event finished on a high note, as students, parents, educators and volunteers took part in a traditional country dance around a bonfire.
