Group of students presents Nissan Leaf electric car at school event
Last week, the world’s best-selling electric car, the Nissan Leaf, made a pit stop at Nossa Senhora do Amparo School in Barra Mansa, Rio de Janeiro. As part of the Nissan Institute’s “Leaf at Schools” project, the vehicle featured at the school’s Sustainability Fair.
High school students presented the car with the help of Joelson Valle, a member of the Volunteers of Value group and a financial employee at Nissan’s warehouse in Resende, who is also the father of one of the students.
“It was incredible to display the Leaf at the school, as the students were fascinated by the car. Nissan is a world leader in electric car manufacturing and this is the vehicle of the future. Our project through the Nissan Institute is helping to encourage new generations to promote a better, sustainable world with a better quality of life”, said Valle.
In the first stage, Valle and the students underwent training at Nissan’s plant in Resende, to find out details of the car. The group learned how the electric car works, and two weeks later they passed on the knowledge acquired to other students at the fair.
