Last stage of project was held for employees of Nissan’s plant
After one year of screenings, free eye tests and the donation of thousands of pairs of glasses, the “How do you see the world?” project’s cycle has reached its end, having exceeded its target. To cap off the project, which benefited more than 17,000 people, the initiative was offered to employees and service providers at Nissan do Brasil’s industrial complex in Resende.
For four days, the plant’s outpatient medical clinic hosted a mobile eye clinic, helping to protect the visual health of 473 people, 406 of whom required visual correction. They were allowed to choose their own frames, which will be delivered to them in early September.
“This initiative was very important for me. I have never worn glasses, only the safety goggles the company provides. This will help my work, which demands precise, detail-oriented movements, and improve my quality of life even more.”
(Raimundo Calixto, Nissan do Brasil service provider)
